The town of Punat is located in the south-western part of the island of Krk, situated in the northern part of the Adriatic sea, and is positioned in the wide and protected bay of Val Cassione. The island of Krk is connected to the mainland by a bridge which makes it easily accessible by car. The historic centre is characterised by narrow streets or alleys, on which small stone houses are lined, built in the typical architectural style of this region. In this small tourist town, far from traffic, stress and noise, the narrow streets that connect arched entrances, relinquish traditional taverns and restaurants that offer traditional dishes of the island’s cuisine. The town of Bescavecchia is also well known; not far from the Bridge, its beaches and make it a wonderful tourist destination. In the vicinity of Punat there are several beaches, some nearby, others accessible only by boat. Beaches of gravel, snuggled in the bottom of rocky coves, lapped by a limpid and crystalline sea lay on the outskirts of the town centre, and in the stretch of coast between the Bridge and the old city. Punat is considered to be the paradise of surfers and olive trees. In fact, this place has a long tradition in the cultivation of the olive trees of excellent quality that produce very good olive oil. The road to Punat runs through a corridor of dry-stone walls, bordering ancient olive tree orchards, and provides an incredible view! Punat offers a number of excellent services to customers of its large marina that can accommodate up to 1,200 boats, making it an ideal meeting point for sailors and lovers of active holidays. Our charter provides boats that will allow you to sail from this marina to the other islands of the gulf and relax in the summer breeze aboard one of our boats or yachts.
